2. What cookies are

Cookies are small files that are downloaded to the user's device when accessing certain websites or digital platforms.

These files allow information to be stored and retrieved about browsing, the device, the session, user preferences, language, authentication, security, use of features, interaction with content or behaviour within the website or the Platform.

In addition to cookies, we may also use similar technologies, such as:

  • Tracking pixels.
  • Device identifiers.
  • Browser local storage and session storage.
  • SDKs.
  • Tags.
  • Analytics scripts.
  • Conversion measurement technologies.
  • Technical monitoring tools.
  • Fraud and abuse prevention systems.

For the purposes of this Policy, all these technologies are jointly referred to as cookies or similar technologies.

3. Types of cookies by the entity that manages them

3.1. First-party cookies: those managed directly by ClanManager or by technical providers acting under our instructions to enable the functioning of the website or the Platform. They may be used, for example, to keep the user's session, remember preferences (such as language), manage access to the private area, apply security measures, remember the cookie configuration or maintain the technical operation of the Platform.

3.2. Third-party cookies: those managed by external providers that supply services to ClanManager, such as backend infrastructure, authentication, database, analytics, support, email, security, fraud prevention or authentication via social providers.

These cookies may be used, as applicable, by providers such as:

  • Backend or infrastructure providers.
  • Authentication providers (email, Google, Discord or others).
  • Transactional email providers.
  • Analytics providers.
  • Support or contact providers.
  • Security and monitoring providers.

The specific list of providers may be updated based on the tools actually used at any given time.

4. Types of cookies by purpose

ClanManager may use the following types of cookies:

4.1. Technical or strictly necessary cookies: essential for the website and the Platform to function correctly. Among other things, they allow you to browse the website, access the private area, keep the session open, manage registration and authentication, remember the cookie configuration, process forms, maintain the security of the service, prevent unauthorised access, avoid fraud or abuse and enable basic features. These cookies do not require prior consent when they are necessary to provide the requested service or to enable the technical operation of the site or the Platform. Without them, some parts of ClanManager may not work correctly.

4.2. Preference or personalisation cookies: allow information to be remembered so that the user accesses the service with certain personalised characteristics, such as language, region, visual configuration or preferences within the Platform. When they are not strictly necessary to provide the requested service, they will only be used with the user's consent.

4.3. Analytics or measurement cookies: allow us to analyse how users interact with the website or the Platform, measure performance, detect errors, know which features are used, improve the experience and optimise the product. They may collect information such as pages visited, time spent, events performed, traffic source, device, browser, operating system, approximate country or region, form interactions, conversion funnels, feature usage, technical errors and aggregated performance metrics. They will be used with consent where applicable regulations require, and, whenever possible, information will be handled in aggregated or anonymised form.

4.4. Security, abuse prevention and anti-fraud cookies: help protect the website, the Platform and user accounts. They may be used to detect suspicious access, prevent attacks, avoid service abuse, detect unauthorised automated use, protect forms, prevent spam, control failed login attempts, prevent fraudulent clan claims, apply technical limits and keep technical security records. When they are necessary for the security of the service or to provide a requested feature, they may be considered technical or strictly necessary cookies.

4.5. Cookies or technologies associated with support and communication: the Platform may use support tools, forms or user assistance systems. These tools may use cookies or similar technologies to identify a support session, associate messages with an account, manage incidents, avoid duplicates and improve technical or functional support. When these cookies are not strictly necessary, they will be used in accordance with the applicable consent configuration.

ClanManager does not use advertising, remarketing or affiliate cookies at the time this Policy is published. If any are introduced in the future, this Policy and the cookie configuration panel will be updated, and they will only be activated with the user's prior consent where applicable.

The specific list of providers may be updated. You can request up-to-date information by writing to legal@clanmanager.app.

7. Cookies and technologies associated with the private area

The private area of ClanManager may require technical cookies or similar technologies to allow authenticated access and the secure use of the Platform.

These technologies may be used to keep the user's session, manage authentication, verify permissions and roles within the clan, apply technical limits, keep account settings, prevent unauthorised access, detect anomalous use, manage security, prevent fraud or abuse, keep technical logs and enable the Service's features.

These cookies or technologies are necessary for the functioning of the Platform and cannot be disabled from the cookie panel without affecting the service, although the user may delete them from their browser, which could cause the session to close or prevent normal use of the Platform.

8. Cookies related to synchronisation with the official Clash Royale API

Certain ClanManager features allow public information about clans and players to be consulted, synchronised and organised from the official Clash Royale API (Supercell), as well as recording internal notes and evaluations by the clan admin team.

To execute these features, the Platform may use cookies, technical identifiers, logs or similar technologies necessary to record the user's request, process queries, apply technical limits, maintain traceability, prevent abuse, resolve incidents, log errors, coordinate external providers, measure availability and performance and ensure the security of the process.

These technologies will be considered technical when they are necessary to provide the requested feature, perform the contract, maintain security or ensure the correct operation of the service.

9. Consent for the use of cookies

When accessing the website for the first time, the user may see, where available, a banner or cookie configuration panel that allows accepting all cookies, rejecting non-essential cookies, configuring cookies by category or consulting additional information on their use.

Strictly necessary technical cookies may be installed without prior consent when they are essential for the functioning of the website or to provide the requested service.

Analytics, non-essential personalisation or other non-technical cookies will only be used when the user has given their consent, unless another basis permitted by applicable regulations applies.

The user may modify or withdraw their consent at any time via the cookie configuration panel, when available, or via their browser settings.

10. How to configure, refuse or delete cookies

The user may allow, block or delete cookies via the browser settings. The following are, for guidance only, the configuration sections of the most common browsers:

  • Google Chrome: privacy and security settings.
  • Mozilla Firefox: privacy and security options.
  • Safari: privacy preferences.
  • Microsoft Edge: cookies and site permissions settings.
  • Opera: privacy and security settings.

You can also set your browser to notify you before accepting cookies or to automatically refuse them.

Note that blocking or deleting certain cookies may affect the operation of the website or the Platform, especially in relation to sign-in, security, forms, the private area, preferences (such as language), clan management and personalisation of the service.

11. International transfers

Some providers that use cookies or similar technologies may be located outside the European Economic Area or may process data from third countries.

Where international data transfers take place, ClanManager will endeavour to ensure they are carried out with appropriate safeguards in accordance with applicable regulations, such as European Commission adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, additional contractual measures, complementary technical and organisational measures or other valid mechanisms under the GDPR.

You can obtain more information about providers used and possible international transfers by consulting the Privacy Policy or by writing to legal@clanmanager.app.

12. Cookies in third-party services

The website or the Platform may contain third-party links, integrations or resources (for example, links to Supercell, the official Clash Royale website, social authentication providers or community tools).

These third parties may use their own cookies or similar technologies in accordance with their respective policies. ClanManager does not fully control cookies installed directly by external websites or services when the user accesses them, interacts with their content or uses integrated features.

We recommend reviewing the privacy and cookie policies of such third parties before using their services.

13. Relationship with the Privacy Policy

The use of cookies may involve the processing of personal data, such as online identifiers, IP address, technical data, browsing events, device information or data on interaction with the Platform.

The processing of such data is also regulated in ClanManager's Privacy Policy, where you can consult information on personal data processed, purposes, legal bases, retention periods, recipients, processors and sub-processors, international transfers and user rights.

14. Updates to this Cookie Policy

ClanManager may modify this Cookie Policy at any time to adapt it to legal, technical, operational or provider changes.

Changes may be due, among other reasons, to changes in applicable regulations, new guidelines from supervisory authorities, changes in cookies used, addition of new providers, changes to analytics tools, changes to the Platform, security improvements or new features.

When the changes are relevant, the user may be informed via the website, the Platform, the cookie banner or any other reasonable means. We recommend reviewing this Cookie Policy periodically.
